Eredivisie: Roda beat leaders PSV, Ajax win

AMSTERDAM, Jan 28 (Reuters) - League leaders PSV Eindhoven suffered their second defeat of the season with a 2-0 loss at Roda JC, while Ajax Amsterdam made a remarkable comeback to beat Groningen 3-2 in the Dutch league on Sunday.

Jean Paul Saeijs opened the scoring for Roda midway through the first half when he headed home a free kick from Boldizsar Bodor and Andres Oper added the second with four minutes remaining.

PSV remain top of the table with 56 points after 22 matches, eight more than Ajax. AZ Alkmaar are third with 47 points following their 3-0 home win against Sparta Rotterdam on Saturday.

Groningen made a convincing start against Ajax and went 2-0 ahead though a Evgeniy Levchenko penalty after 19 minutes and Luis Suarez's goal five minutes before halftime.

Jaap Stam pulled one back seven minutes into the second half for Ajax and John Heitinga levelled the match eight minutes before time.

Leonardo snatched the three points with his first goal for Ajax in injury time.

Twente Enschede stay fourth with 44 points after a 3-1 home win against strugglers ADO Den Haag. Feyenoord registered the same score to sink bottom side RKC Waalwijk and stay fifth with 42 points.

Jeroen Heubach gave Twente the lead after 14 minutes but Laurent Delorge equalised before the interval. Sharbel Touma and Ismail Aissati were on target after the break.

Jonathan de Guzman and Andre Bahia gave Feyenoord a 2-0 lead but Rick van den Bergh pulled one back from the penalty spot early in the second half.

Angelos Charisteas settled the match with a close range strike five minutes before time.
