LONDON -- U.S. striker Brian McBride and Canadian forward Tomasz Radzinski scored to lead Fulham to a 3-0 win over Stoke in fourth-round play in England's FA Cup on Saturday. McBride notched his 10th goal of the season by sending a pass from fellow striker Vincenzo Montello past goalkeeper Steve Simonsen in the 39th minute. Monzello had opened with his fourth goal in five games in the 11th minute before Radzinski capped the win at Craven Cottage with his goal in the 54th. Wayne Rooney scored twice as Manchester United beat Portsmouth 2-1, as Premier League clubs had a good day, with only West Ham, Portsmouth and Middlesbrough failing to advance. West Ham lost 1-0 against Watford, and Middlesbrough blew a two-goal lead to tie 2-2 at Bristol City of third-tier League One. Watford midfielder Anthony McNamee scored the winner in the 42nd as the last-place Hornets knocked out last year's runner-up, West Ham, with their first victory at Upton Park in 23 years. In Saturday's other FA Cup games involving Premier League teams, Reading won 3-2 at Birmingham, Tottenham beat Southend 3-1 at White Hart Lane and Blackburn cruised to a 4-0 win over Luton. On Sunday, 10-time winner Arsenal plays Bolton, Chelsea faces Nottingham Forest and Manchester City hosts Southampton.
MILAN, Italy -- Tommaso Rocchi scored twice Saturday and Lazio beat Palermo 3-0 to move into fourth place in Serie A. Rocchi scored first in the 45th minute by following up a save by Palermo goalkeeper Alberto Fontana, and added his second in the 77th from the penalty spot. Sebastiano Siviglia headed in Lazio's other goal in the 52nd. Lazio has 30 points, nine fewer than third-place Palermo. Inter Milan leads with 54 points, followed by AS Roma with 43. Inter travels to Sampdoria on Sunday looking for its 14th straight win, while Roma hosts Siena. Also on Saturday, Udinese beat Torino 3-2 to move into a tie for fifth place in the only other Serie A match. In Serie B, Pavel Nedved scored a 90th-minute equalizer to give Juventus a 1-1 tie with Spezia that maintained its two-point lead atop Italy's second division.
MADRID, Spain -- Pablo Ibanez's 76th-minute equalizer gave fifth-place Atletico Madrid a 1-1 tie with Racing Santander in the Spanish league. Atletico extended its unbeaten run to six games. Santander scored in the 74th minute when Nikola Zigic volleyed into the roof of the net from a hooked pass by Pedro Munitis to score his sixth goal of the season -- the Serbian striker's first since Nov. 26. Santander rose to 11th place with 26 points. FC Barcelona leads the league with 39, while Sevilla and Real Madrid have 38 each. Valencia and Atletico follow with 36. In Saturday's late game, Madrid aimed to move into first place by winning at Villarreal. On Sunday, Barcelona hosts Celta Vigo, while Sevilla visits Levante.
BERLIN -- Schalke opened up a three-point lead atop Germany's Bundesliga with a 3-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt. Kevin Kuranyi scored twice and Gustavo Varela added another as Schalke stayed unbeaten in nine matches to take a three-point lead over Werder Bremen, which has 36 points and plays Hannover 96 on Sunday. Bayern Munich fell six points behind Schalke after losing to Boressia Dortmund 3-2 on Friday as the league returned from its 40-day winter break. Energie Cottbus beat Borussia Moenchengladbach 3-1, as Vlad Munteau scored the third in the 90th minute after U.S. goalkeeper Kasey Keller let the ball slip out of his hands. Also, FC Nuremberg routed VfB Stuttgart 4-1, Hamburg SV tied 1-1 with Arminia Bielefeld, Mainz 05 beat VfL Bochum 1-0, Schalke cruised to a 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, and Hertha Berlin slipped past VfL Wolfsburg 2-1.
PARIS -- Milan Baros scored for Lyon in a 1-1 tie against Nice in the French league, extending Lyon's winless run to four matches. The five-time defending champion had lost its previous two matches. Bakari Kone gave the visitors the lead in the 30th minute, but Baros leveled in the 39th after collecting a pass from Sidney Govou. Lyon still leads by 13 points over second-place Lille, which won 1-0 at Bordeaux after an own-goal by Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh. After 22 rounds, Lyon has 51 points, Lille 38 and Marseille has 36 after losing 2-0 at Le Mans.
GLASGOW, Scotland -- Rangers failed to win in Scotland's Premier League for the first time since Walter Smith took over as manager on Jan. 10, tying 0-0 with visiting Hearts. Aberdeen won for the first time in five matches to move into third place with a 2-0 win at St. Mirren. Celtic, which plays Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Sunday, leads the Scottish Premier League with 62 points. Rangers is second with 46, four more than Aberdeen. Hearts is fourth with 41. In Saturday's other games, Dundee United played to a scoreless tie with Dunfermline, Kilmarnock beat Falkirk 2-0 and Hibernian beat Motherwell 2-0.
ATHENS, Greece -- Panathinaikos moved into second place in the Greek league by beating Panionios 2-0 on Saturday. Panathinaikos trails leader Olympiakos by five with 41 points. AEK Athens is third with 40. Also Saturday, Larissa won 2-1 at Egaleo. On Sunday, Olympiakos hosts OFI and AEK plays at Iraklis.
