Premier Showdown - Jan 20/21

There was cause for celebration for the Rest of the World last weekend as Paraguyan contestant Vinod Mirchandani edged home for victory.

So the battle at the top goes on - and with two more rounds to be played this month the ROTW could be back level at the summit by the time we move into February.

Joining us this weekend is Meekaeel Sabdia.

Meekaeel says: 'Hi Dale and Tommy. I'm a big, big fan of Soccernet.com and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass! I am 20 years old from Brisbane, Australia. I am hoping to graduate in accounting in mid 2007. I currently work for an accounting firm in Brisbane's southside.

'I am a huge Arsenal fan and the main reason I started supporting them was due to the way they play the "beautiful game". In my opinion there is no better attacking team in the world then Arsenal.'

Time to play!

Each week one of our readers, or an ESPNSoccernet Press Pass viewer, will get the chance to challenge our two experts. They, along with the challenger, will cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Soccernet's Premiership Editor, Dale Johnson, and Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the challenge from our team.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit will receive three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total will be added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points will be shared between those level on points.
