ATHENS, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Olympiakos Piraeus lost 2-0 to second division Pas Ioannina on Wednesday in the first leg of the Greek Cup quarter-finals to leave themselves an uphill task in their quest for three successive league and Cup doubles.
The home side took the lead in the 32nd minute when unmarked Evangelos Kontogoulidis headed home and they doubled the lead when Gilles Domoraud also scored with a header in the 70th minute.
Panathinaikos will also go into the second leg trailing after being beaten 2-1 by PAOK in Thessaloniki.
First-half goals from former Panathinaikos midfielder Pantelis Konstantinidis and Polish striker Marcin Mieciel put PAOK 2-0 up at the break. Vangelis Mantzios pulled one back in the second half to give Panathinaikos hope for the return in Athens.
In the other game played on Wednesday, Xanthi recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Ilisiakos, another second division side, with goals from Stavros Lambriakos Alexis Garpozis.
Kerkyra will play Larissa in the first leg of the outstanding tie on Wednesday Jan. 24.
