Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd has admitted an £8million bid for star forward Ashley Young is 'on the table' and that he will discuss it with his chairman following the 3-0 defeat against Liverpool at Vicarage Road.
A £7m bid for the 21-year-old was believed to have come from West Ham earlier this week, although Aston Villa have also been linked with the player.
Boothroyd told Sky Sports: ' When we received the bid I asked the chairman and chief executive to let me get on with the game [against Liverpool]. At this point in time it is on the table.
'I'll have to chat about it. I am lucky my opinions are valued. We have to talk and then make a decision.'
