The Football Association are unlikely to launch an investigation into claims of racism against Newcastle midfielder Emre unless asked to by Everton.
Reports today alleged the 26-year-old Turkish international made comments during angry exchanges with goalkeeper Tim Howard and defender Joleon Lescott after the Magpies had been awarded a penalty in Saturday's 3-0 Premiership defeat at Goodison Park.
Referee Dermot Gallagher spoke to the player during the game, but took no further action, and it therefore seems unlikely the incident will be mentioned in his report.
The FA have received no complaint and are not expected to become involved unless that situation changes.
A furious Emre was later more conciliatory after team-mates had stepped in to defuse the row.
