Jones could leave Cardiff if takeover falls through
Cardiff boss Dave Jones has warned he could consider his position at the promotion-chasing Championship club if a proposed takeover deal fails.
A deal to rid former chairman and major shareholder Sam Hammam of his major shareholding has stalled, but it is hoped it will be resolved at an EGM on January 12 at Ninian Park.
Asked if he would look at his position if the takeover does not go through, Jones said: 'Of course I would.'
Jones confirmed a cash injection in January and a new stadium to follow were crucial in his decision to commit himself to Cardiff and he admitted the delay was cause for concern.
'I was sold the dream [of a new 30,000-capacity stadium] and I'm sure one or two of the players were also sold the dream, so they must be concerned as well with what's going on.'
