U.S. to play Mexico in exhibition game
CHICAGO -- The U.S. soccer team will play Mexico in an exhibition game Feb. 7 at Glendale, Ariz., the second game for the Americans under interim coach Bob Bradley.
The Americans meet Denmark on Jan. 20 at Carson, Calif., in their first game since they were eliminated from the World Cup last June, and announced the game against Mexico on Thursday.
Later in the year, the United States defends its title in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the championship of North and Central America and the Caribbean, to be played in six U.S. cites from June 6-24. The Americans then go to the Copa America, the championship of South America, scheduled for June 26-July 15 in Venezuela.
