Lille's Sylva misses Milan clash, Tafforeau doubtful
PARIS, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Lille will be without goalkeeper Tony Sylva while captain Gregory Tafforeau is doubtful to face AC Milan in their Champions League Group H match on Wednesday.
Senegal's Sylva is expected to be sidelined for several weeks after fracturing a finger of his left hand in a clash with a defender in a 3-1 Ligue 1 win at Nancy on Sunday.
Number two goalkeeper Gregory Malicki will replace him at the San Siro, the club said in a statement.
Defender Tafforeau, who sustained an ankle injury in the same game, will travel to Milan but it was not sure whether he would be fit to play, the statement added.
Lille will advance to the knockout stage only if they win or draw in Milan, providing AEK Athens do not get a similar or better result against Anderlecht in Brussels.
