Gers eager to extend United starlet Martin deal

Rangers manager Paul Le Guen has revealed that Manchester United winger Lee Martin could extend his loan deal at Ibrox.

The 19-year-old has been out for six weeks with a knee injury but he could stay in Glasgow in the new year.

However full-back Phil Bardsley is likely to return to Old Trafford next month as expected.

Bardsley, 21, has not played since the home defeat by Inverness on October 14 after a training-ground incident.

Le Guen said: 'Phil will probably go back to Manchester in December. I think that will be the best thing for him.

'I will talk to Sir Alex Ferguson about the situation and we will take a decision together over what to do next.

'I will also talk to him about Lee too. It really depends on what he wants to do.

'I know he thinks he doesn't play enough but I will talk to him and see where we go from here.'
