JAKARTA, Nov 22 (Reuters) - Indonesia coach Peter Withe has said he will not walk away from his job despite calls for his resignation following a spate of poor performances.
The former Aston Villa striker's side lost to the Cameroonian under-23 side, the Vietnamese under-23 side and Finland in the recent BV Cup, sparking intense criticism in local media.
'I will not change my tactics,' Withe told the Asian Football Confederation's Web site.
'As a coach my view is different from that of the media. Every time we fail they call for a change (of coach) and when we win they demand the same thing.
'My contract ends next year and I will stay on till then. I am a fighter and a winner.'
Indonesia will co-host the 2007 Asian Cup with Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
