Toluca play twice in one day in different continents

MEXICO CITY, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Mexican club Toluca played two competitive matches in different continents on Thursday due to a clash of fixtures and lost them both.

The Red Devils were involved in a Copa Sudamericana tie away to Chile's Colo Colo in Santiago and also had to play the first leg of a Mexican championship playoff tie at Chiapas in southern Mexico.

The club decided to send a reserve side to Chiapas where they lost 1-0.

The first team, including coach Americo Gallego, were dispatched to Chile where they lost 2-1 to Colo Colo in their semi-final first leg which kicked off almost immediately after the Chiapas game had finished.
