Acosta welcome to re-apply for Chile job
SANTIAGO, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Former Chile coach Nelson Acosta, who announced his resignation before Wednesday's friendly 3-2 win against Paraguay, is welcome to reapply for the job, the head of the Chilean federation said on Thursday.
'Acosta could apply to be technical director or national team coach as he fills the basic requirements for both jobs,' Harold Mayne-Nicholls told Reuters.
Mayne-Nicholls, who has replaced Reinaldo Sanchez as the federation's president, said that his first job would be name name a technical director.
Acosta coached Chile from 1996-2001, which included their appearance at the 1998 World Cup finals, and again from 2005.
