United target Inaki Williams extends Bilbao deal

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer feels Man United and Romelu Lukaku will both benefit from the Belgian's move to Inter Milan.
ESPN FC's Steve Nicol says Romelu Lukaku will fit perfectly into Antonio Conte's system at Inter Milan following his move from Manchester United.
ESPN FC's Rob Dawson explains why Mario Mandzukic's wage demands and Juventus' inflated transfer fee means the Croatian will remain in Turin.

Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams has signed a new deal with the La Liga club, extending his contract until 2028.

Williams had been identified by Manchester United as a potential replacement for striker Romelu Lukaku, who joined Inter Milan this summer for a fee of €80 million.

The 25-year-old last signed a deal with Bilbao in January 2018, when he committed his future to the club until 2025 with a release clause of €80m.

The new deal sees the player's release clause rise to €135m.

Williams has made more than 200 appearances for Bilbao and featured in all of their La Liga matches last season, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists.
