Palace boss Jordan reveals 'elite club' vision

Chairman Simon Jordan has revealed building 'an elite football club' is his chief objective at Crystal Palace.

Jordan bought Selhurst Park from former owner Ron Noades on Tuesday for £12million and was quick to highlight his aims for the Eagles' future.

'Ultimately my desire is to build an elite football club,' said Jordan.

'I want to put the club where I said I'd put it, which is among the elite, and make it stay there rather than come back down again.

'My investment into players is there to see - this summer and last summer. I have the stomach and the balls to take this club forward.'
