ROME, Sept 30 (Reuters) - David Trezeguet grabbed his second two-goal haul in two matches to give Juventus a 2-0 win over Serie B rivals Piacenza on Saturday.
The French striker, who scored twice in a 4-0 rout of Modena last weekend, was on the mark in the 30th minute when he squeezed between two defenders to nod an Alessandro Del Piero cross over Piacenza keeper Fernando Coppola.
He scored again a minute before halftime, getting on the end of a Del Piero free kick to head in from close range and take his season's tally to five goals in four Serie B games.
The victory allowed Juventus to continue chipping away at the 17-point penalty handed down to them over the Serie A match-fixing scandal.
The club now has minus four points, 15 points behind division leaders Brescia, who drew 1-1 with Albinoleffe.
'I'm delighted, but like I've always said the important thing is how the team is doing,' Trezeguet told Italy's SKY television.
'And when the team is doing as well as it is at the moment, everything becomes much easier.'
In the other second division matches, Lecce climbed to second place on 10 points after a 3-2 win over Genoa, while Napoli rose to fifth on eight points with a 1-0 victory against Spezia.
