Premier Showdown - Sept 23-25

Well, well, well... who'd have thought it was possible. Both Tommy Smyth and our challenger - Errol Howlett - managed to get a big fat zero. It's quite an achievement, as it means neither got one single Premiership result correct - never mind the actual scoreline. We won't mention that it's a repeat offence for good old Tommy...

But, despite winning, Dale Johnson does not get away lightly. He, too, got a pitiful score of just three. Any other week he would have been left trailing in last place but this was the weekend of breaking records - but not records any of our competitors would want to crow about!

Surely we can muster a marked improvement this week?

Looking to rescue some respectability for the ROTW is Sandra Ebeny.

Sandra, 37, lives in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia and works for a Statutory Body in the city. She is a fan of soccer, tennis, badminton and all other sports that involves a ball! She supports Arsenal FC Thierry Henry is her favourite player.

Game on!

Each week one of our readers, or an ESPNSoccernet Press Pass viewer, will get the chance to challenge our two experts. They, along with the challenger, will cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Soccernet's Premiership Editor, Dale Johnson, and Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the challenge from our team.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline

  • One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit will receive three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total will be added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points will be shared between those level on points.

Dale got off to a storming start at the weekend with eight points from the first four matches but then drew a blank, which means Tommy and Sandra were right back in the hunt. Bolton's win at Portsmouth resulted in a rare all-round draw.

    Score after six rounds:
    Dale: 13
    Rest of the World: 4
    Tommy: 1
