Marseille loanee Cisse sets return date

PARIS, Sept 22 (Reuters) - France and Olympique Marseille striker Djibril Cisse, who is recovering from a broken leg, aims to make his return in the Ligue 1 against five-times champions Olympique Lyon next month.

'That is my challenge,' Cisse told French sports daily L'Equipe on Friday. 'But we shall see as I have been injured for three and a half months.'

The 25-year-old Cisse broke his leg during France's last warm-up game for the World Cup finals against China on June 7. He has started jogging and should be back in training soon.

The forward, who joined Marseille on a season-long loan from Liverpool last July, has had been unlucky with injury. He was sidelined for eight months after breaking his leg in an English Premier League game in October 2004.

He has never given up hope, however.

'What happens makes you stronger. You have to put things in perspective,' he said.
