EINDHOVEN, Netherlands, Sept 17 (Reuters) - PSV Eindhoven beat Feyenoord 2-1 on Sunday while Roda JC Kerkrade struck both sides of the interval to defeat Ajax Amsterdam 2-0 in the Dutch league.

Peruvian Jefferson Farfan opened the scoring after seven minutes for Eindhoven when his 30 metres free kick bounced in the area and surprised Feyenoord goalkeeper Henk Timmer.

Three minutes before the break right back Jan Kromkamp broke through on the right flank to set up central defender Alex for a second goal. Jonathan de Guzman pulled one back from close range on the stroke of halftime for Feyenoord.

'This is a sour defeat,' Feyenoord coach Erwin Koeman told reporters. 'Our tactical organisation was good but PSV took profit of two moments of disorganisation.'

Davy de Fauw opened the scoring for Roda when he netted a Adil Ramzi free kick after nine minutes.

Twenty minutes into the second half Ramzi surprised the Ajax defence with a quick free kick to set up Andres Oper for the deciding goal.

Roda are top of the league with 10 points while Ajax slipped to third with nine.Sebastiaan Steur's two first-half goals helped Excelsior extend their unbeaten run to three games, with a 3-2 win over Willem II.

Steur fired the home side into a two-goal lead before Andwele Slory increased the advantage four minutes before the break.

Mounir El Hamdaoui reduced the deficit just before half-time. But Excelsior held on to claim the three points, despite the Dutch-Moroccan forward adding a second five minutes from time as the home side moved up to fifth in the table.

Two goals from Everton ensured Heracles Almelo moved third in the table with a comfortable 3-0 win over Utrecht.

Everton's goals and another from Kwame Quansah secured Heracles the win, although they were given a helping hand on their way.

A last-gasp goal from Mike Zonneveld earned a 1-0 win for NAC Breda at Vitesse.
