Porto maintain winning start

LISBON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Second-half goals gave reigning champions Porto a 3-0 win over Estrela Amadora to join Naval, Sporting and Braga at the top of Portuguese Premier League on Sunday.

Braga, who beat promoted Desportivo Aves 1-0 away on Friday, and Porto have maximum points. Sporting, who beat Nacional 1-0 on Saturday, and Naval, who beat Academica 2-1 away on Sunday, have also made winning starts.

Warming up for the opening match of the Champions League group stage at home against CSKA Moscow, Porto opened the scoring thanks to an own goal by defender Rui Duarte after 55 minutes.

New coach Jesualdo Ferreira decided to rest influential winger Ricardo Quaresma for the match with the Russians.

Amadora conceded a second goal after 81 minutes when midfielder Raul Meireles struck home from outside the area.

Argentine international midfielder Lucho Gonzalez sealed the second successive Porto win with the third goal two minutes before the final whistle.

Austrian international striker Roland Linz scored twice in Boavista's 3-0 home win over eight-man Benfica, who were making their seasonal bow in the league on Saturday.
