Lopez Caro relishing Real Madrid reunion

MADRID, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Levante coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro is relishing the chance to upset his former club Real Madrid when the two sides meet in the Primera Liga on Sunday.

'I am a little more motivated than usual. They helped me develop and improve and I wish them all the best, but I hope we can come away from the game with the three points,' Lopez Caro told a news conference on Friday.

Lopez Caro was promoted from coach of Real's reserves to take charge of the first team after Vanderlei Luxemburgo was sacked in December last year.

He led them to second spot behind Barcelona in the Primera Liga, earning them a place in the Champions League group stage but was given no assurances that he would continue in the post.

Racing Santander appointed him coach in early June but he quit to join promoted Levante a month later after reportedly falling out with the Racing board over their transfer policy.

Levante lost their opening game 4-0 away to Sevilla, but have home advantage to face Fabio Capello's side, who drew 0-0 with Villarreal two weeks ago.
