Dogan returns to Trabzonspor after Lazaroni sacked
ISTANBUL, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Trabzonspor have sacked Brazilian Sebastiao Lazaroni and reached a deal to reappoint Ziya Dogan as coach, the Turkish club said on Thursday.
'Our decision has been communicated to Mr Lazaroni today,' Trabzonspor chairman Nuri Albayrak said in a statement on the club's Web site.
'We have reached an agreement after talks with Ziya Dogan, who worked with us in the recent past. He is coming to complete his half-finished work.
'Ziya Dogan is a technical director who knows our character and our team structure. He is loved and supported by the fans,' Albayrak said.
Dogan's previous two-season spell at Trabzonspor ended in 2004.
He takes over a club which is generally overshadowed by the big three Istanbul sides and is 11th in the Turkish first division with four points from four matches.
Former Brazil coach Lazaroni took over at Trabzonspor three months ago on a three-year deal.
