Football's coming home
Wembley Stadium has been the setting for many of the greatest moments in sport and music history.
Moments such as Geoff Hurst's famous hat-trick of 66, England's legendary win over Holland in Euro 96, Bob Geldof's Live Aid and the legendary White Horse Cup Final of 1923 still hold a very special place in the memories of many sports and music fans around the world.
The new 90,000 seat Wembley Stadium will be the greatest football stadium in the world. Designed by a consortium of architects led by Lord Norman Foster, the new stadium combines all the most important features of the old stadium with state of the art design and engineering.
The new stadium has a partly retractable roof which can be shut to ensure that all spectators are sheltered during bad weather, whilst the playing surface will always remain open to allow sunlight and air to Wembley's famous turf.
Wembley's famous presentation route has been retained but in the new stadium the winning team will climb 107 steps up to the Royal Box instead of the 39 steps in the old stadium.
The most striking feature of the new stadium however, is the 133m tall arch which holds up the roof. The arch can already be seen from across London and is not only a symbol for Wembley's exciting future but also a new icon for world sport. The new Wembley will give sports fans a national stadium that they can be proud of and that will once again be revered around the world.
Playing at Wembley Stadium is the ultimate dream for all footballers. From lining up with your team and hearing the roar of the fans to lifting the trophy, every player that has ever played at Wembley will know the feeling of pride that playing at such an iconic venue brings.
Former England captain and Real Madrid player David Beckham has echoed this sentiment: 'Every young child wants to play at Wembley... and for me; it's the ultimate stadium... from the plans I have seen, the new national stadium will be the greatest stadium in the world.'
And England and Manchester United player Wayne Rooney said: 'We're all looking forward to the chance to play in front of 90,000 England fans at the new Wembley - it will be the greatest stadium on earth.'
Even the legendary Franz Beckenbauer has conceded that Wembley 'will be the best stadium in the world'.
The new stadium will once again host the greatest sports events including all senior England men's home internationals, the FA Cup final and both semi-finals, the League Cup final, the FA Community Shield and the Rugby League Challenge Cup final.
It will also be the venue for both the men's and women's football finals when London hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
Wembley has always been a serious music venue and some of the biggest names in the music world played at the old stadium including U2, The Rolling Stones and Madonna.
Wembley was also the setting for Live Aid, one of the most famous and most important music concerts ever staged. When the new stadium opens it will continue in the tradition of the old stadium by playing host to some of the biggest music and entertainment events in the world.
This time round there will also be the facilities and quality of hospitality to match the first class events that are held at Wembley. Of the 90,000 seats in the new stadium, approximately 17,000 are dedicated to Club Wembley. Club Wembley is a new way to purchase seats and is the only way to guarantee a place at all of the stadium's greatest events.
The entire central tier of the stadium is dedicated to Club Wembley and encompasses a kilometre stretch of first class restaurants, bars and cafes, including four of the biggest restaurants in London. Whether you want five star dining or just a bite to eat and a few drinks before kick off, Club Wembley will be setting a new standard in match and event day hospitality. Wembley has always had the greatest events and now it will have the world class facilities to match.
Club Wembley means that for the first time you can have your own treasured seat at Wembley. There are four different types of membership from Club, Silver and Gold seats to the exclusive Corinthian Club, all with spectacular views of the action.
Club seats are situated behind the goals, Silver seats are on the wings and Gold seats are on the half way line. Club Wembley members with Club, Silver or Gold seats will have access to a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars located on the Club Wembley concourse.
The best seats in the house are The Corinthian Club seats, which are situated on the half-way line between the dugouts and the Royal Box. These seats are about as close to the action as you can get and it is through these seats that the teams will walk to collect their trophies. The Corinthian seats lead straight into the Corinthian Restaurant, a split-level five star restaurant which seats 1,900 people.
Interest in the ten year seats has been considerable and many sections of the stadium have already sold out. Once they have all been sold, they won't become available again for another ten years and with the remaining sections selling fast, fans will need to move quickly or risk missing out.
Just think about it, you too can experience a decade full of pride, passion, thrills and heartaches surrounded by your friends and family at England's national stadium.
