Police investigate bomb threat at Georgia's stadium
TBILISI, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Police are investigating a bomb threat at Tbilisi's national stadium, the venue of next weekend's Euro 2008 qualifier between Georgia and France, local television reported on Monday.
The report said police had sealed the area around the 65,000-seat stadium after being informed of the bomb.
'We've evacuated all the workers from the stadium. Police with sniffer dogs are now searching the area,' a police spokesman said.
Construction crews had been working around the clock at the reconstructed Boris Paichadze Stadium to complete a refurbishment in time for Georgia's home opener against the World Cup finalists on Saturday.
The Georgians began their qualifying campaign with a 6-0 thrashing of the Faroe Islands earlier this month.
