Galaxy's Martino out 6-8 weeks after hip surgery
CARSON, Calif. -- Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Kyle Martino will be sidelined six to eight weeks after undergoing surgery Friday to repair a torn labrum in his left hip.
Martino suffered the injury trying to make a tackle in the second half of Saturday's 1-0 loss at Colorado. The surgery took place in Colorado.
He has one assist in eight games with the Galaxy since being acquired on May 12 from Columbus.
The Galaxy will also be missing starting midfielder Paulo Nagamura on Sunday when they face FC Dallas. Nagamura sustained a concussion in practice on Tuesday.
