Mihajlovic would welcome Vieira despite spat

Inter Milan defender Sinisa Mihajlovic claims he would welcome former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira as a team-mate at the San Siro - despite being banned for six matches in 2000 after racially abusing the Frenchman during a Champions League match between Lazio and the Gunners.

Inter have been linked with Vieira and the 37-year-old Serbian says he would love to play alongside the 30-year-old, whose club side Juventus have been relegated to Serie B for match-fixing and are losing most of their star players.

Mihajlovic said: 'If he comes, we will be happy and me first of all, even if in the past we had a bust-up, albeit a long time ago. This sort of thing happens on the pitch.'
