Croatia's Prso ends international career

Croatia and Rangers striker Dado Prso has confirmed his retirement from international football.

The 32-year-old had hinted the World Cup finals would be his last appearance for his country and the former Monaco forward has confirmed he wants to focus solely on his Ibrox career under manager Paul Le Guen.

Croatian football association president Vlatko Markovic said: 'Dado has been one of the best players Croatia have had over the past few years.

'But the strain of playing in four tournaments - the Scottish league, the Scottish Cup, Europe and internationals - would have proved too much for him.

'Something had to go and he chose to give up playing for Croatia.'
