LISBON, July 17 (Reuters) - Brazilian striker Mario Jardel has signed a one-year contract with promoted Beira Mar, the Portuguese Premier League club said on Monday.
The 32-year-old will renew his ties with Portuguese soccer after previous stints at Porto and Sporting when he was the league's top scorer several times.
'I want to help Beira Mar to stay in the (premier) league and I want to be the league top scorer again,' Jardel told reporters.
The financial details of Beira Mar's signing of Jardel, who played for Brazilian first division side Goias last season, were not disclosed.
The Portuguese league kicks off on August 27.
