SANTIAGO, Chile, July 5 (Reuters) - Chilean midfielder Jorge Valdivia, one of the top players with new Chilean champions Colo Colo, said on Wednesday he was being transferred to Brazilian club Palmeiras.
A Colo Colo official said the fee was over $3 million.
"The only thing left to do is go to Brazil for the (medical) exams and after that sign. But everything's already arranged," Valdivia, 22, told reporters at Colo Colo's stadium.
Colo Colo beat arch-rivals Universidad de Chile 4-2 on penalties on Sunday to win Chile's 2006 Apertura championship after the two teams were tied in their two-match series.
