Angola striker Pedro Mantorras has claimed he is close to sealing a move to an unnamed Premiership club that would go through in the winter transfer window.
The Benfica player, who struggled to make an impact at the World Cup, told National Radio Ecclesia in Luanda that talks have been ongoing for some time and could be finalised this week.
'I may leave Benfica in December,' he said. 'The negotiations have been held for at least a year. It is a Premiership team.'
Mantorras is still under contract with Benfica and admitted they would have the final say on any transfer. 'There are some proposals we can't refuse,' he added. 'But Benfica hold my rights.
'If they will accept the English team's proposal I'll leave. Otherwise, I'll remain in Benfica.'
