Gardner agrees new three-year Spurs deal

Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner has agreed a new three-year contract to stay at White Hart Lane.

The 24-year-old, who has been capped once by England, had been linked with a move away from the club but appears ready to fight for a first-team place.

'Anthony is a valuable member of our squad, a good professional who always does the job when called upon and I am delighted he has signed a new contract,' said Spurs boss Martin Jol told the club's official website.
