Graham Rodger has been appointed the new manager of League Two side Grimsby.
Rodger, 39, replaces Russell Slade, who left the club last week after failing to agree terms on a new contract.
Rodger served as assistant manager to Slade and his predecessors Nicky Law, Paul Groves and Alan Buckley, and played for the Mariners for six years.
Town missed out on promotion when they were beaten in the League Two play-off final by Cheltenham, and Rodger has promised entertaining football as he seeks to go one better.
'Though the way we played (under Slade) was fairly successful, I do feel we need to be a bit more adventurous - especially at home,' he told the club's official website.
'We will be looking to win games and it is important that we entertain our fans along the way.'
