BERLIN, May 30 (Reuters) - Werder Bremen striker Nelson Valdez is to join Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in July.
According to media reports, the Paraguay international will cost a fee of 4.7 million euros ($6.05 million).
Valdez, who scored 21 goals in 80 league matches for Bremen but was often only used as a substitute, has agreed a four-year contract.
"We're delighted we've reached a deal with Bremen because Nelson is our first choice," said Dortmund commercial manager Hans-Joachim Watzke.
"He's always dangerous in front of goal and the man we need to strengthen our team."
