Cash incentive for Saudis if 2nd round reached

Saudi Arabia's morale was boosted on Sunday with news of a significant cash injection to help the country's World Cup preparations.

Marcos Paqueta's squad will receive financial assistance worth 45 million Saudi Riyals (£6.45 million) from King Abdullah as they aim to qualify for the second round of the finals for the first time since their maiden appearance in the United States in 1994.

The Saudis arrived in Germany on Sunday and the money will be used to assistant the team's preparations for the finals, where they will face Tunisia, Spain and Ukraine in Group H.
