Levski Sofia target Champions League progress
SOFIA, May 27 (Reuters) - Levski Sofia celebrated their 24th Bulgarian league title on Saturday with one eye already on next season.
After clinching the title last week, their first since 2002, when they beat Botev Plovdiv, Levski settled for a 1-1 draw in front of their home crowd against third-placed Litex Lovech.
Levski reached the quarter-final of this season's UEFA Cup, but club owner Todor Batkov is setting high targets for next season's campaign.
'It's been an incredible season,' said club owner Todor Batkov. 'But we set our sights on the next season and we know our goals - a title, a cup and a place in the Champions League groups.'
Levski will begin next season in the Champions League second qualifying stage and hope to become the first Bulgarian team to break into the tournament's group stage.
