PSV Eindhoven's Hirving Lozano: Premier League move would be 'fabulous'

Mauricio Pochettino admits he liked hearing the fans frustration when he substituted Lucas Moura, but says the win reinforces his decision.

Hirving "Chucky" Lozano told ESPN FC he would like to play in the Premier League after his side's 2-1 Champions League defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

Mexico international Lozano was linked with Manchester United before joining PSV in 2016.

"I hope that God, some day, gives me a shot at playing in the Premier League," he said after the loss to Spurs at Wembley. "I like it very much.

"I think the Premier League is great. I think that it would be fabulous to play with any of the clubs, but I would love to play for one of the big clubs. I hope that God gives me the chance."

Lozano, 23, said he and his PSV teammates were disappointed by the defeat, sealed by a deflected Harry Kane header, that saw them eliminated from the Champions League.

"The truth is that our group [which also includes Barcelona and Inter Milan] was a complicated one, with great players and great clubs," he said.

"We fought hard at each match to try to do our best. It is a pity that their last goal went in after all that rebounding, but that is football. We have to keep improving and keep learning a lot from these beautiful tournaments. It's a wonderful experience.

"My takeaway is that I have gained a lot of experience and a lot of learning. I think I've enjoyed it to the max and I've given my best, and that is the most important thing."

Lozano said he believed his side, who still have matches against Barca and Inter, could achieve third place in their Champions League group and with it a Europa League place.

"We are going to give it our best shot over the next two matches. I hope that we get a little help from above," he added.
