Adams hopes for NAC move, despite qualification row

Former England captain Tony Adams is hopeful of being appointed as the new coach of Dutch side NAC Breda this week.

The former Arsenal defender has previously been in charge at Wycombe but may still see his hopes of a move to Breda scuppered by a row with the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) over his qualifications.

'I was on a course in England for four-and-a-half years. I have the A licence and with that I can coach any English club and that is why I do not understand the confusion at the KNVB,' Adams told AD Sportwereld.

'NAC is a nice club and I think that I can offer them a lot.'

Representatives of the English FA are now speaking with the KNVB about the matter.
