Coach Koeppel to leave Borussia Moenchengladbach
FRANKFURT, May 14 (Reuters) - Borussia Moenchengladbach coach Horst Koeppel will not continue in the post next season, the club announced on Sunday.
The decision was reached by mutual consent, Borussia said in a statement on their website.
Koeppel took over as caretaker coach following the resignation of Dick Advocaat towards the end of the 2004/05 season.
He guided the team away from relegation danger and was rewarded with a new contract.
This season, the club finished in 10th place, well away from danger but 10 points shy of a UEFA Cup place. They won their last game under Koeppel 2-0 away to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
