ATHENS, May 9 (Reuters) - Coach Fernando Santos is to leave Greek club AEK Athens at the end of the season.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Wednesday's Greek Cup final against Olympiakos, the 51-year-old Portuguese told reporters that he was in his last week as coach.
'The games with Olympiakos and Xanthi on Sunday will be my last as AEK coach,' he said.
Santos has had two spells with AEK. He originally joined from Porto in 2001 and stayed for one season.
He returned for the 2004-2005 season at the request of ex-player Demis Nikolaidis who had headed a consortium to take over the club which was in serious financial difficulties.
Last year, Santos took AEK to third in the table and this season they stand second with one match left.
If they draw with Xanthi on Sunday they will go into the Champions League qualifiers as runners-up to Olympiakos.
