Real Madrid right-back Michel Salgado has revealed he turned down an offer from Chelsea in order to stay at the Bernabeu.
The Spain international has been one of a number of Madrid players linked with a move away from the club this summer following a disappointing season.
But the 30-year-old, who joined Real from Celta Vigo in 1999, intends to see out the rest of his career with the team.
'I have made it very clear,' he said. 'I don't see myself in any other team.
'I decided to remain at Real Madrid and not go to Chelsea, I did it in order to remain here for life.
'My future is here and I intend to retire here, it would be the best thing for me.'
