RIO DE JANEIRO, May 4 (Reuters) - Third division Ipatinga stunned Vanderlei Luxemburgo's Santos by knocking them out of the Copa Brasil on penalties following a 2-2 aggregate draw on Wednesday.
Ipatinga won the shootout 5-3 after Kleber missed Santos's second attempt and will face Flamengo in the semi-finals of the competition, which is seen as the quickest route to the Libertadores Cup.
Earlier in the game, Kleber had been Santos's hero by giving them a 25th minute.
The hosts equalised three minutes before halftime when Henrique outjumped the Santos defence to head the equaliser and the match finished 1-1, a repeat of the score in last week's first leg.
Flamengo qualified after a goalless draw away to Atletico Mineiro sent them through 4-1 on aggregate.
Fluminense also went through by beating Cruzeiro 1-0 to complete a 4-2 aggregate win, midfielder Marcelo scrambling home the only goal in the 78th minute.
