Aarau name Schoenenberger as new coach
BERN, May 2 (Reuters) - Struggling Swiss top division side Aarau have named former FC Thun trainer Urs Schoenenberger as their new coach with just three matches remaining in the season.
Schoenenberger replaces former Swiss international Alain Geiger who resigned on Monday following a run of six successive defeats.
The 47-year-old Schoenenberger led Thun to a shock Champions League qualification earlier this season before being sacked by the club after some indifferent domestic results.
Schoenenberger's new club are in bottom place, two points from safety, after losing to nearest rivals Neuchatel Xamax on Sunday.
