Canetti resigns as Red Bull assistant GM
SECAUCUS, N.J. -- Chris Canetti resigned Monday as assistant general manager of Red Bull New York.
He joined the club, then known as the MetroStars, in May 2000 and served in several different roles. He was promoted to assistant GM in April 2005, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club's business.
His departure follows that of team president Alexi Lalas earlier this month. Lalas became president and general manager of the Los Angeles Galaxy, returning to a team he led to the MLS Cup title.
