Xavi returns to full training after injury
MADRID, April 21 (Reuters) - Barcelona and Spain midfielder Xavi completed a full training session with the squad on Friday, as he continued his return from a serious knee injury.
'If everything goes as it has been doing and I don't suffer any setbacks I will definitely be going to the World Cup,' Xavi was quoted as saying on the Marca website.
'I hope to be able to play in Barcelona's last two or three league games, and if they reach the Champions League final I also hope to be able to help them in Paris.
'This Sunday against Sevilla is a bit soon but next week maybe I will get a run out if the coach agrees.'
Xavi has been out of action for four months and is battling to reach full fitness in time for the World Cup finals in Germany, which begin in June.
He tore the cruciate ligament in his right knee during training at the beginning of December.
Barcelona top the Primera Liga by 11 points with five games to go, and could take the title with a victory away to Sevilla if second-placed Valencia fail to beat Athletic Bilbao.
