Lennon has ambition to fill Hoops hotseat

Celtic captain Neil Lennon admits he would like to be the Hoops manager after he has stopped playing.

The 34-year-old midfielder, currently undertaking his UEFA B coaching license, has won the Bank of Scotland Premier League title and CIS Insurance Cup in his first season as skipper.

However, Lennon told the Scottish Sun that he has longer-term ambitions at Celtic Park:

'If I was lucky enough, or good enough, to become Celtic manager then I would have to give it a go.

'I've seen what it has done to some people in the past and it is a very intense arena.

'But any manager who has been here will tell you it's one of the greatest jobs in football.

'It would be a long, long way down the line.

'But it would be a great ambition of mine to do something like that.'
