Premier Showdown - Apr 14-16

Well, well, well. Tommy Smyth is on fire! Another storming victory last weekend reduced the gap to those at the top by another three points. But with only 15 points available this term surely it will prove to be too little too late?

With Tommy in this sort of form, surely anything is possible?

Joining us for our first round of Easter matches is Donald Freund.

Donald is from Hong Kong and is an expatriate who can only watch UK games on cable from afar.

Donald tells us: 'I supported Notthingham Forest in their heydays, then Liverpool and I'm now an aredent fan of Arsene Wenger's fluent, artistic, beautiful football. But I worry how Arsenal can survive without Henry.

'I think Wenger should perfect an attacking 4-5-1 formation for his young team. Playing 4-4-2 against Manchester United, the back four did not have enough cover, especially the space between Senderos and Flamini...'

He seems to have the football brain, but does he has the famed powers of prediction?

Let's play!

Each week one of our readers, or an ESPNSoccernet Press Pass viewer, will get the chance to challenge our two experts. They, along with the challenger, will cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Soccernet's Premiership Editor, Dale Johnson, and Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the challenge from our team.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline

  • One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit will receive three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total will be added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points will be shared between those level on points.
