CARSON, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Galaxy acquired forward Cornell Glen from the Colorado Rapids Friday in exchange for a third-round choice in the 2007 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Glen has 10 goals and six assists in 41 MLS games over four seasons, including four goals and four assists in 13 games for the Columbus Crew in 2005. Glen was acquired by Colorado in an offseason trade and played the final 13 minutes in its season opening 5-2 loss to Houston Sunday. The Galaxy waived forward Naldo da Conceicao to make room for Glen on the roster. The Galaxy also announced the promotion of Tom Payne to assistant general manager. He had been the team's vice president of programming and business development.
