Fulham midfielder Michael Brown has denied intentionally hurting Sean Davis during the defeat to Portsmouth at the weekend.
Brown was sent off in the 73rd minute by referee Chris Foy after a two-footed challenge, which led to Davis accusing his former Tottenham team-mate of trying to break his leg.
'I was surprised by the comments made by Sean Davis,' Brown said. 'To be accused of deliberately going into a challenge in an attempt to cause damage is absolutely sickening.
'I've never had any problems with Sean Davis, but he's obviously got a problem with me. I am bitterly disappointed to learn he has said the tackle was intentional.
'I was devastated that I was sent off. But to then hear I'm supposed to have done this deliberately is ridiculous. I am not that type of player.
'It was a committed challenge on my part. Mistimed I admit, but nothing more sinister than that.'
