Two Leeds youngsters look set to join Premiership champions Chelsea after turning down scholarship deals offered to them by the Elland Road club.
Tom Taiwo and Michael Woods are among 12 players offered the deals by Leeds, but chief executive officer Shaun Harvey revealed the deals have been turned down.
He told his club's official website: 'They have been released and are on trial at Chelsea. If they sign for another professional club we will be entitled to compensation.'
But there was better news for United after another of their highly-rated youngsters - 15-year-old midfielder Danny Rose - turned down the Blues to stay with United.
Harvey added: 'We are delighted at his decision.
'He was the subject of an offer from Chelsea, but we turned that down. We believe that both his and our best long-term footballing interests are best served if his future is with Leeds United.'
