John Hartson insists he has no intention of quitting Celtic in the near future.
The Hoops striker has spoken of the strain of being apart from his two children, who returned to his native Wales after he split from wife Lowri.
He also revealed he could play for boyhood club Swansea one day.
But Hoops chiefs have made it clear they have no intention of letting him leave in the summer.
And Hartson, 30, claims he is happy with life in Scotland and says there is just as much chance of him ending his playing career at Celtic.
'I am extremely happy at Celtic, the club have always been first class with me and I have never thought about leaving,' he said.
'Obviously being 30 I have got to consider what I am going to do for the last few years of my career, but I have made a lot of friends in Scotland, really enjoy the football up here and couldn't be happier.
'I want to make it clear to the Celtic fans that they and the club mean a great deal to me and I would be very happy to finish my career playing for one of Europe's greatest clubs.'
